Title: God of War

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Dark Romance

This book shook me in the best possible way.
Ava? She's a mess—lost, uncertain, and questioning everything. But it makes sense. Life hasn't been kind to her. Despite it all, she’s strong, smart, sweet, and fiercely loyal. Unfortunately, not everyone in her world can say the same.
Enter Eli King. Emotionally unavailable? Absolutely. Stoic? Cold? Hard to get close to? Yep. The man is all business, all power, and all about staying on top—no matter the cost. He’s the polar opposite of Ava, who thrives on connection and being surrounded by people. But somehow, their collision makes sense.
I think Eli is incredibly misunderstood. In a world that demands perfection and punishes anyone who strays from the "norm," he's labeled as unlovable. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. I love Eli. He’s strong, magnetic, and deeply in love with Ava—he just doesn’t express it in the typical way. And honestly? That’s what makes him so compelling. No, he’s not Killian (my fave of all the Gods boys), but he's something else entirely: raw, real, and refreshingly flawed.
The banter between Ava and Eli? Chef’s kiss. It’s playful, sharp, and addictive. They push each other to the edge until there’s nothing left but vulnerability and truth. There are so many layers to peel back in this story, and each one hurts so good.
Some readers might have expected to fall in love with Eli and were disappointed by how he was portrayed. But for me? Rina Kent nailed it. He’s not a romantic cliché—he’s human.
As for Ava—don’t let her bubbly personality fool you. She’s deeper than she seems and far from shallow or naive.
From the first word to the last, God of War had me hooked. This one’s a five-star read, no question.
